Crime Analysis Interns work alongside current Crime Analysts in the Crime Analysis Unit and the Real Time Crime Center. Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine clerical tasks, prepares correspondence and reports; and, does related work as assigned. Must be available to work weekdays, weekends and holidays, with days and hours to be adjusted to meet the needs of the Department. Please see the essential functions below for specific details. Crime Analysis Internship Program Applicants are required to be currently enrolled in a Crime and Intelligence Analysis certification program.
Applicants possessing the required skills and qualifications will need to complete a City of Chino Application form. Applicant's will be screened and oral interviews will take place. Finalists for the position will undergo a thorough background investigation. Must possess a High School Diploma/G.E.D. and valid Class C California Driver's License. Satisfactory results from an extensive police background investigation, which includes a polygraph test, and an administrative review, are required.
